Ice Storm Clean up

As our community recovers from the recent ice storm we, at ODPS, want to remind our citizens of the following things:

• Make sure that individuals making repairs are from legitimate businesses. Ask questions like: request a written estimate of costs with projected begin and end dates, request to see their city business licence, make sure they are insured, bonded and qualified to do the work you need done, etc.
• If you are conducting your own clean up efforts: ensure you operate all equipment within the safety guidelines listed in the owners manual, call FORESTRY to get proper burn permits and never leave a fire unattended.

The Orangeburg Department of Public Safety would like to take this opportunity to thank all who helped throughout this trying time. 

Fire Contracts
