Its that time again for all of the little ghost and gobblins to wear their costumes and enjoy treats. As adults it is up to us to make sure we help the children remain safe during this night of fun. Please read the the halloween safety rules below:

  • Trick-or treat times for the City of Orangeburg are 5pm-7pm
  • BE very cautious of any strangers (at houses or on the street)
  • NEVER go inside a house
  • DON'T eat candy until you get home (parents check candy first)
  • STAY on sidewalks or walkways (NOT in the Street)
  • WALK! do not run to prevent injuries from falls
  • NEVER go trick-or-treating alone
  • CARRY a cell phone in case of an emergency
The Orangeburg Department of Public Safety Would like to remind all drivers to be on the look out for trick-or-treaters during this time. Remember children are looking for candy and fun Not cars. Be safe
